Integrating information technology into teaching and learning process can be carried out through the technical and software centered approaches. Along with the explosion of information technology, teaching and learning is further extended to the diversity of knowledge available in the software packages in the computer lab.

Thereby, Indus Academy offers fully equipped computer lab that has'en designed with new system and furniture giving a sophisticated look to greater extent with addition of fluorescent and incandescent lighting with clearly marked controls.

It has advanced infrastructure in terms of hardware and software whichcater to the requirements of the students, teachers and the curriculum. The lab includes student PCs that run Microsoft Windows 7/10, including the Microsoft Office Suite, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Adobe Acrobat Reader, and various media players with versions of softwares.

The Information Technology curriculum has been planned in such a way that the students will get exposure to various technologies and softwares. In the primary section, the students are trained to use basic softwares like Windows, MS-Office (Ms-Word, MS PowerPoint, Ms-Excel etc.). Along with this, they get exposure to computer programming at elementary stage through the computer languages like LOGO and Q-Basic in order to improve their logical skills. In the higher classes, the students have an option to learn advanced softwares which are the part of their curriculum The Students get exposure to the latest Multimedia softwares like FLASH, Photoshop, and Image-Ready etc. On the other hand to sharpen their logical and reasoning skills, they learn computer languages like Visual Basic, JAVA and HTML/XML.

Our lives in these modern times are heavily dependent on the use of computers. We need to make the future generation well equipped with the use of computers. Hence, it is highly imperative to include computer education in the school curriculum. It will be helpful for the students for learning about the versatile nature of the computers. It is actually the same multi faceted nature of these machines that make them highly important for the students whether it is for research purposes, or for creating a digital document on it or for taking out a print out of any document, computer labs are one resource that are critical for Indus Academy.

Since its inception upgradation, computers have been the way towards the future. It is predicted that in the future almost 97% of our daily activities will depend in one way or the other on the use of computers.
